ShelfSwipe Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: 25 September 2026

ShelfSwipe stores your game progress on your device. It has no player accounts or cloud saves. The app uses Google AdMob to show advertisements and uses Google’s consent tools where required.

1. Who is responsible

ShelfSwipe is published and operated by proBeast Games, the data controller for the app. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to proBeastgames@protonmail.com.

2. Information stored on your device

ShelfSwipe stores game progress and preferences locally on your device. This includes your books, discoveries, bookcase layout, upgrades, coins, streak, active powers, reward cooldowns, sound, haptic and motion preferences. proBeast Games does not receive this local game data. Removing the app or clearing its storage may permanently remove it.

3. Advertising and information handled by Google

ShelfSwipe uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) for rewarded advertisements. According to Google, this SDK may automatically collect and share the following for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention:

Google states that this information is encrypted in transit. Advertising may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, consent choice, device settings and Google’s policies. Read Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from partner apps, and the Google Mobile Ads data disclosure.

4. Consent and advertising choices

Where required, ShelfSwipe uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to ask for advertising consent before requesting eligible ads. You can revisit available choices through Settings → Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your Android advertising ID through your device’s privacy settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

5. Why information is processed

Local information is used to operate the game and remember your progress. Information handled through Google Mobile Ads is used to deliver and measure advertisements, maintain ad security, prevent fraud and diagnose SDK performance. Where applicable, personalized advertising relies on consent. Non-personalized or limited advertising may rely on other lawful grounds available to Google and the publisher.

6. Sharing and international processing

proBeast Games does not sell your personal information. Advertising information is handled by Google and its advertising partners under their own policies. Their systems may process information outside your country, subject to the safeguards described by Google. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users, the app or legal rights.

7. Retention and deletion

Local game data remains on your device until you reset the library, clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. Advertising information is retained by Google according to Google’s own retention policies. For requests concerning information controlled by proBeast Games, contact the address above. Requests concerning Google-held advertising data may also need to be directed to Google.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal information, withdraw consent, and receive a portable copy of applicable information. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact proBeast Games to exercise rights concerning data under its control.

9. Children

ShelfSwipe is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Users who cannot legally consent to personalized advertising in their country should use the choices provided by Google with a parent or guardian, where required.

10. Security, changes and contact

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect the app, but no device or transmission method is completely secure. This policy may be updated when the app’s features, service providers or legal duties change. Material changes will be reflected by the updated date above.
